A pioneer in the field of ecology and energy transition, our maritime city shares the same values with Cosy Hotels when it comes to preserving our planet. The brand new installation of charging stations for electric vehicles goes in this direction.
The first French city to create a pedestrian plateau in the 1970s to encourage walking, La Rochelle was also innovative at the national level with the introduction of the first self-service bike system. Beyond these initiatives to develop gentle travel, the municipality of Rochelle has also imagined the Car Free Day and participated in the production of the first electric vehicles, all this long before it becomes a necessity before it is too late…
Use of eco-responsible products for the maintenance of its hotels, reduction of its energy consumption, partnerships with local producers, provision of bicycles, support of local associations advocating respect for the sea, of the earth and of those who live there: our independent hotel group proves through its initiatives that eco-responsibility is part of its core values.
Also, in response to the request of some of our customers-users of electric vehicles, charging stations have been installed this spring in all our hotels in La Rochelle. Exclusively accessible and usable 24 hours a day by our customers, these systems installed in the private car parks of our establishments allow the reception of all those who act in the context of the energy transition. And can convert to this collective cause as to this «clean» mobility of other people staying with us.
