In April, Architecture Month will bring our city to life, especially the Michel-Crépeau Médiathèque (media library) located a few steps from our hotel in La Rochelle. Take the opportunity to discover a major cultural site in La Rochelle.
Organised for the month of April, the events enlivening Architecture Month and the Charente-Maritime area will allow everyone to discover and to understand the common goal of providing a quality living environment which is also respectful of our future. Guided tours, scenic walks, conferences, worksite presentations, exhibitions… so many events dedicated to architecture on the programme for La Rochelle. In this context, 3rdApril will be a particularly special day, paying tribute to Paul Virilio, urban planner, essayist, philosopher, a free thinker and a visionary, who lived in our maritime city for twenty years until his death in 2018. Furthermore, an exhibition entitled ‘Paul Virilio - The Last Frontier’, will be inaugurated on the same day. It will run until Tuesday, 16thApril at the Michel-Crépeau Médiathèque, located on Allée Paul Virilio, which is on the coast, facing the sea.
